Overview

This is document for Seo Plus extension. It will help you configuration and create Sitemap HTML & XML, Link Exchange, Rewrite Url, etc...

Step 1: Learn use template

1. Format

   [Variable 1][Variable 2]...[Variable N]

2. Variables type

   Type	Comment	Examples
   [Variable]	Replaced with the respective variable	[name][price][color]
   [Prefix {Variable} Suffix]	Will be prepended with Prefix and appended with Suffix	[{name} - {color} only {price}]
   [Variable1|Variable2|...VariableN]	If variable first is empty, will use next variable until found value	[manufacturer|brand]
   [Prefix {Variable1|Variable2|...} Suffix]	Will be prepended with Prefix and appended with Suffix	[{name} of {manufacturer|brand} have {color}]

3. How to get Variables

   From the Admin panel, select MLX > SEO Plus For Magento > Variables for Template.

Step 2: Configuration

From the Admin panel, select MLX > SEO Plus For Magento > Configuration. You will see configuration of extension with properties as follow:

1. Sitemap HTML

   Properties	Type	Comment
   Enable	Yes/No	If values is Yes, will replace default sitemap.
   Show Store	Yes/No	If values is Yes, will show store in sitemap.
   Show Categories	Yes/No	If values is Yes, will show Categoriues in sitemap.
   Show Product	Yes/No	If values is Yes, will show Product in sitemap.
   Show Cms Page	Yes/No	If values is Yes, will show Cms Page in sitemap.
   Filter CMS Pages	Cms page	Ability hide some page special in sitemap.
   Show Additional Links	Yes/No	If values is Yes, will show Additional in sitemap. You can show more link which you want.
   Additional Label	text	It's title will display in frontend when you show "Additional Links".
   Additional Links	Format: name,link_key	List link will be show in frontend with our format.

2. Sitemap Generate

   Properties	Type	Comment
   Enable	Yes/No	If values is Yes, will replace default google sitemap.

   Error Email Template	Template
   Cron Frequency	Select
   Start Time	Time
   Use Sitemap Index	Yes/No	For stores have about 50,000+ links and sitemap OR must be larger than 10 MB.
   Sitemap Split Size (KB)	Number
   Max Links per Sitemap	Number
   Include Product Images	Yes/No
   Include Product Tags URLs	Yes/No
   Include Cms Page	Yes/No
   Include Additional Page	Yes/No	Additional Page in config Sitemap HTML
   Frequency	Select
   Priority	Number	Valid values range from 0.0 to 1.0

3. Link Exchange

   Properties	Type	Comment
   Enable	Yes/No
   Allow Submit In Frontend	Yes/No	If values is Yes, customer can submit new link
   New Status	Select Status	It's status when customer submit link in frontend.
   Send To Manager	Yes/No
   Mail to Manager	Select Email
   Email Template Send to Manager	Template	Will send email when have new Link submit in frontend.
   New Link Template	Template	will send email when Link approval

4. Robots.txt

   Properties	Type	Comment
   Robots.txt	text	To write to your .htaccess, you must set permissions writable.

5. .htaccess

   Properties	Type	Comment
   .htaccess	text	To write to your .htaccess, you must set permissions writable.

6. Robots Meta Header

   Properties	Type	Comment
   Add Canonical URL Meta Header	Yes/No	What is it?
   Product Canonical Url Type	Longest/Shortest	- Use Longest will use the longest categories path for product URL. - Use Shortest will use the shortest categories path for product URL
   Add Trailing Slash	Yes/No
   Ignore Pages Add Canonical	Page
   NOINDEX, FOLLOW for Page	Page
   Robots Meta Header for HTTPS	Robots

7. Rewrite Url

   Product Reviews Friendly URLs	Yes/No
   Product Tag Friendly URLs	Yes/No
   Layered Navigation Friendly URLs	Yes/No

8. Router

   Properties	Type	Comment
   Link-Exchange	text	Default is "link-exchange"
   Sitemap	text	Default is "sitemap"
   Review	text	Default is "product-review"
   Popular Search Terms	text	Default is "popular-search-terms"
   Tags	text	Default is "product-tag"
   Layer Navigate	text	Default is "filter"

Step 3: Sitemap Generate

Important: You must enable Sitemap Generate in configuration.

1. From the Admin panel, select Catalog > Google Sitemap.
2. Click the Add Sitemap button.
3. In the Sitemap area, fill in all fields for sitemap.

   

4. Click Save & Generate button Or Save button if you want generate later.

Step 4: Link-Exchange

Requirement: You should create list directory first.

1. Create Directory
   • From the Admin panel, select Mlx > SEO Plus For Magento > Link Exchange > Manager Directory
   • Click Add New button

   • In the Directory information area, fill in all fields for Directory.

2. Create Link
   • From the Admin panel, select Mlx > SEO Plus For Magento > Link Exchange > Manager Link
   • Click Add New button

   • In the Link information area, fill in all fields for Link.
